"These stones shall be for a memorial..."

Remembering the past is wonderful way to remember God's provision for His people. The Harvest Baptist Church history can easily be divided into three segments: the storefront, the move, and the current location.
|
The StorefrontWhen Harvest Baptist Church was founded in April of 2006, it was located at an intersection across from the local tavern. Since it only used the first floor of a two-story building, members and attenders often endured a church service in which the building had strong odors sometimes causing allergic reactions. Finally, due to a growing congregation, the church looked for a new place in which to worship, minister, and expand its outreach to others.

The MoveAfter a couple years of hunting for new buildings, God led the church to an unused flower shop. The landlord cut the asking price significantly just so that a church could be in the building. Once preliminary details were determined, remodeling began to create the necessary space for ministry. Over the years, carpet, decorations, and additions have been done to improve the building.

CurrentThis new building has been a great blessing to us. Just this fall, the church building has been extended to include a new classroom/fellowship hall (visible pic.6). With this added space, we hope to be able to participate in more outreaches than before. This spring we hosted our very first youth rally. We praise God for our wonderful landlord who has gone above and beyond our human expectations and has made it feasible for us to remain at this wonderful location. God has truly blessed the Harvest Baptist Church.
